Mossworld
The initial conception was a “Gem of Garaldor but online”. From there, the concept took on a life of it's own. While the mustard seed of the idea was “Gem of Garaldor II”, it has very much become it's own thing.

Mossworld is a MOSS, and it takes very much after the grand tradition of the MUD, MUCK, MUSH and MOO. However, it was written from scratch as a learning project, and does not copy any code or ideas from anything else. I in fact have never played a MUSH, MUCK or MOO, although I did ascend on JediMUD and Medievia a couple of times. Ahh, memories! Writing a completely original world from scratch will be quite a challenge, but this is where Neo comes in.
Neo, acting as lead design engineer, is responsible for creating the entire world and mythos as well as some of the web socket and member database code. He is very experienced in world design, having already written a 3d RPG (Neo's World) as well as several fantasy campaign settings for Dungeons & Dragons, including an norse-inspired world complete with it's own continent and languages. It reminds me of Tolkein quite a bit, although I am not a huge fan of germanic languages, vikings or norse mythology. This is more of a stock D&D smash 'em up MUD adventure dynamic.
